Good Afternoon! Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog! This past Sunday was quite an enlightening day for Brandon and I. As most of you know, I attend Compass Point Church. It is my home, my family, my friends, everything I could ask for in a church. Brandon is part of the setup crew for the band. Which means he and a few other people wake up at 5:15 every Sunday morning to go set up all of the band's equipment, the soundboard, the works! Well, there has been some recent activity within the church, lots of growing and maturing (this is a Church of maybe 90 people...). With that said, we have felt a bit left out and overlooked as these BIG changes are being made. I have always been a passionate person. I am a newer Christian, and I have gotten to the point that now that I have my priorities in line, MY HEART IS ON FIRE! I want more, I need more, and I felt that Compass Point wasn't feeding me. We started feeling a tugging in our hearts telling us that it is time to leave our "home". After speaking to two seperate Christian couples (one who attends our church, and one who left our church) we came to the conclusion that we had just seen and felt the power of Satan. We cleared up a lot of issues and realized that our feeling were just the devil working on us. Boy did he hit us hard right in the gut. But we have Christ on our side, and with that, we have decided to continue going to Compass Point. Thank you all for being so supportive!

We have......TEETH!

Good Friday morning to all of you! I am sitting here watching my two girls play while drinking a nice cup of coffee and thought that I should share another milestone in Kaylyn's life.

Last night, we went to dinner with my family and we had gotten Kaylyn a small plate of spaghetti. When I put it in front of her, she was giving me her normal cheesey smile that I love so much. I just happened to notive that she has 2 NEW TEETH!!!!! Horray for Kaylyn! Our little baby is getting to be quite a big girl! She now has a total of 6 teeth! All is well in the Morgan household. It is so amazing to watch your children grow right before your eyes. I was thinking about it the other day, and Emma will be starting PreK this upcoming school year! AMAZING! That was just a quick update. I love you all!

All my love,
Mackenzie

My first Blog!

Hello to all! This is my first blog ever, and I am super excited about it! I decided to make one to catch everyone up on what has been going on in our lives. I know it is a little late, but it took me a long time of hard thinking to figure out if I really wanted to Blog. I am going to go all the way back to December of 2008 (soooooooo long ago...lol). So, with that said...... Here goes nothin'!

December 2008
We celebrated Emma's 3rd birthday on the 28th of December! Quite exciting stuff. We packed everyone (Brandon, the three kids (Jason, Emma, and Kaylyn), and myself) up in the car and headed toward our fun destination.....DISNEY!!!!!! As most of you know, Emma is the biggest Mickey Mouse fan you will ever meet in your life, so we figured Disney would be a great place to celebrate her birthday and to bring in the New Year. I am pretty sure that is everything in December, minus Christmas, but that was great too......lol

January 2009
Now January was an absolute INSANE month! I celebrated my 22nd birthday (Yea for another year of getting older! After 21 it is like there is nothing else to look forward to...) on January 8th. I had Jason for the day, and enjoyed dinner at Mt. Fuji Japanese Steakhouse with my WHOLE family. It was wonderful to be around the people that love me the most.
January 13th, Brandon and I woke up and decided that we had been engaged long enough. We went down to the courthouse and got our marriage license and decided that we were going to go back to the courthouse the following Friday to have our small ceremony done. However, God had different plans! The lead pastor at the Church that we attend found out about our wedding plans and asked if he could do the wedding. How could I have turned that down??? So all in all, I had about a week and a half to plan a wedding with a dress, flowers, cake, THE WORKS!!!!!! Brandon and I were married January 23rd, at Camp Gilead in Polk City at 5:30 pm on a lake with the most beautiful Sunset EVER! We had a reception at my parents house which was catered by Sonny's BBQ, Everything turned out to be way better than we could have ever planned for! GOD IS GREAT! We had a not long enough honeymoon at Disney that we enjoyed thoroughly!
Brandon turned 24 on January 26th.

Now for the good stuff.....
As most of you know, I filed for custody of my son. I am getting ready to go through a long, drawn out custody battle. Things are looking wonderful for me though, and I intend to blog on every bit of it.

Well, glad I caught you up on a few things...Phew.....that was a lot of reading! Glad you made it all the way through! We wish you all a very blessed year, and hope that you will come back to follow my blog!

Love to all,
The Morgan Family
